O my Lord, all praise is due to You as befits the glory of Your countenance and the greatness of Your sovereignty.
Note: Sheikh Redwan's verification for Majmu'ah ar-Rasa'il (Al-Ma'thurat chapter), footnote no. 102 states: Narrated from Abdullah ibn Umar (r.a.) that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) related that a servant of Allah said: "O my Lord, all praise is due to You as befits the glory of Your countenance and the greatness of Your sovereignty." The two recording angels were perplexed and did not know how to record it. They ascended to heaven and said: "O our Lord, Your servant has spoken words that we do not know how to record." Allah the Almighty and Sublime, knowing best what His servant said, asked: "What did My servant say?" They answered: "Lord, he said: 'O my Lord, all praise is due to You as befits the glory of Your countenance and the greatness of Your sovereignty.'" Allah then decreed: "Write it down exactly as My servant said it, and when he meets Me, I shall reward him for it Myself." Narrated by Imam Ahmad and Ibn Majah; its narrators are trustworthy (thiqah).
