O Allah, I seek Your protection from disbelief and poverty. O Allah, I seek Your protection from the punishment of the grave. There is no god but You.
Note: Sheikh Redwan's verification for Majmu'ah ar-Rasa'il (Al-Ma'thurat chapter), footnote no. 109 states: Narrated from Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi Bakrah that he said to his father: "O my father, I hear you reciting every morning: 'O Allah, grant health to my body. O Allah, grant health to my hearing. O Allah, grant health to my sight (3 times). O Allah, I seek refuge with You from disbelief and poverty. O Allah, I seek refuge with You from the punishment of the grave. There is no god but You.' You repeat it three times in the morning and three times in the evening." His father replied: "I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) supplicate with these words, and I love to follow his Sunnah." Narrated by Abu Dawud and others.
