Musnad Ahmad 15360
Asbahna ‘ala fitrat al-Islam
Narrator: ‘Abd al-Rahman ibn Abza (r.a.)
Numbering: Shu‘ayb al-Arna’ut’s tahqiq
The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “We have entered the morning upon the natural way of Islam, upon the word of sincerity, upon the religion of our Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), and upon the creed of our father Ibrahim — upright, submitting, and he was not of the idolaters.”

He also cites al-Nasa’i in al-Sunan al-Kubra (9831) and ‘Amal al-Yawm wa al-Laylah (3).
The Ubayy ibn Ka‘b route: da‘if jiddan
Shu‘ayb al-Arna’ut
Tahqiq of Musnad Ahmad, comment on no. 15360
On the Zawa’id route of Abdullah ibn Ahmad from Ubayy ibn Ka‘b — the route Sheikh Redwan cites — he writes: “this chain is severely weak; Ibrahim ibn Isma‘il is weak, and his father and grandfather are matruk.”
Cited via the Ubayy ibn Ka‘b route
Sheikh Redwan Muhammad Redwan
Himpunan Risalah, footnote no. 99
Notes
This dhikr is established — but not through the route Sheikh Redwan cites. He attributes it to Ubayy ibn Ka‘b (r.a.) in Zawa’id al-Musnad, and that route is graded severely weak. The sound route is from ‘Abd al-Rahman ibn Abza (r.a.), which is what this card shows.
That is why this card carries no fada’il panel: the same wording is already established with a sahih chain, so there is no need to lean on the allowance to act upon a weak report.
Footnote no. 98 in Himpunan Risalah defines the term “hanif” per Ibn Sidah in al-Muhkam rather than citing a hadith, so it remains a note only.
